The Steering Committee aims to support the management and the development of the NPU Terminology and the NPU database.

Terms of Reference of Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for all aspects of:
- The governance, planning and external scientific and clinical links for the NPU Terminology.
- The development of NPU Terminology and related projects. This function will be undertaken by C-SC-NPU reporting to the Steering Committee
- The maintenance and update of the NPU database. This function will be performed by DHDA in accordance with the parameters defined by the Steering Committee.
- Promotion of the NPU Terminology. This function will be performed by C-SC-NPU, IFCC and IUPAC in accordance with the parameters defined by the Steering Committee
